When thinking about Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics it makes me think of how important this career cluster is to our economy. In what way do you think the cluster contributes to/effects our nation's economy? Please describe your two careers in this cluster first. How do you think each of your two careers in this cluster contribute to/effect our nation's economy? How does this cluster contribute to/effect the other clusters you have completed research in?

my two careers in this cluster are  motorboat operator and bike repairer. a motorboat operator is very important because boats are used for a lot of things. boats are used to transport people, food, clothing, toys and almost everything. with out boats it would take a lot longer to get things shipped. when things are shipped by air they can get there quicker but are not transported in the bigger loads. i think that is a very big impact on the economy because we are always in need of giant orders of food, clothes or something else that is very  important and if we can not get that much over here then we would be out of luck.

Recently I have been asking my students to make connections between their personal lives/chosen careers and those careers they choose to research in class. I ask them to to think about how semi-random research can be tied to meaning for them, personally. This week, among other things, we have researched two careers in the Government and Public Administration cluster. I would like to know why students chose to research the careers they did and how they "connect" to their own chosen career.

A mapping technician could relate to a farmer because they would most likely need to know what their property lines and where their animals might be. If they didn't have tracking systems then they wouldnt be able to tell where their animals were easy.

They relate to my life because a farmer provides me food and clothing. they also provide the same for the community. they are a HUGE impact in our nation it provides all of our food and most clothing. without food we would starve and without clothing we would be naked and wouldnt have clothing to help keep us warm

My chosen career was a farmer and my other career was a cargo and freight agent. With these to careers we compared them on a vinn diagram. Had some similarities like how they both transport goods. it shows me how similar they are because of some of their interest and the things they do. most people wouldn't realize how closely related these two actually are/

Students have just finished researching the Architecture and Construction career cluster. I'm curious to know how the two careers they looked at are similar and how they are different. I'm also interested to know if either of those two careers relate in any way to their chosen career. It should be interesting to read their posts!

the two careers that i have are somewhat related. they both only require a high school diploma they also have the same interests. since they both only require a high school diploma they both also get paid around the same amount. the two jobs i have are construction carpenter and painters, construction and maintenance.

My chosen career of farmer does not match up very well in the human services cluster. It does not match up well because a farmer is not only about humans it is also about animals and crops. You are caring more for the animals and crops than people even though they end up for the people. A farmer and a barber have the same interest which are enterprising, realistic, and conventional. They do not have the same tools or much other things, for example a farmer most likely will not need hair dye or a hair spray for a plant or animal and a barber will not need a tractor to cut hair. The little similarities they have mean that enterprising means most of time they have their own business and realistic means they have realistic goals. With me wanting to be a farmer I would not be able to work in human services. I think this make my career and cluster more solid than it was before. I would like to stay in the agriculture career and like to be a farmer and human services does not seem like the cluster for me

It is important because you can know how to connect with people and also how to keep yourself. It is important to know it can also tell you how a person might react or what they like doing.
